Thoughts of them bring pleasure, but thoughts of owning them bring satisfaction. Although some may never purchase a pair-surely at one point all eyes have locked on the playfully seductive red soles as they tap down runways, sidewalks and streets across the world. To whom can we attest this credit? None other than the shoe maestro himself - Christian Louboutin whose craft is inspired by landscaping and travels.
Popularity of his shoes has grown tremendously from the days of elite circles secretly treasuring their sky scraping stilettos. Today, his following includes not only fashion insiders, but also a long list of celebrities and fashion-conscious women across the globe.
Recently, Louboutin enthusiasts lined Robertson Boulevard to meet the famed shoe designer on a visit to his West Hollywood boutique, where he graciously signed shoes and chatted with adoring fans. In our exclusive interview Louboutin reveals his thoughts on shoe design and footwear pet peeves.
